This weekend I started to feel good about the idea of doing what I need and want to do,and I am worrying less about what other people arround me will say if I do so. The most important thing I realised is that you need to enjoy life, and the way to enjoy your life is different for everybody. I might not completely understand why other people live the way they live and how they can be happy that way, but if they are, they are. That is the most important thing.
Living a life that you think should make you happy because it is ‘sold’ to you as, THE way to live if you want to be happy, doesn’t work, simply because it is not what you want. I know when I am not doing what I really want to by my ‘gut feeling’. It just does not feel right and there is something inside me telling me that it is wrong and yet most of the time i choose to ignore it, even though most of the time that feeling is right. although this is not a feeling I want to use as a rule in everything I do, it is a good guidance when making decisions.
This house has a lot to do with me realising this stuff.
Ik hoop dat ik dit ook mag lezen. Nuja, het is al te laat :). En ten tweede: het is internet, dus dan leest iedereen het… Ouderwetse dagboeken zijn een alternatief, want die mag niemand lezen (hoewel mijn broer hier vroeger anders over dacht. nog veel ruzie gehad daarover :). Maar misschien was hij dus voor op zijne tijd)
Ik wou je alleen maar laten weten dat je gelijk hebt:
je gevoel volgen geeft meestal de juiste weg. maar we negeren het inderdaad veel hé, het is iets dat we nog moeten leren soms.
En dat andere mensen andere keuzes maken, is ook helemaal juist.
Het is een hele kunst om keuzes van andere mensen te respecteren en dan ook nog je eigen weg vinden en andere keuzes (durven) maken. een kunst waar je broer eigenlijk nog wel redelijk goed in is.
Wat gottem hier nu mee te maken heeft, hoef ik helemaal niet te weten, maar ik ben alvast blij dat het huis zijn nut al heeft gehad!
Kom nog maar veel op bezoek in de toekomst, wie weet welke inzichten je nog zal krijgen! :)
